the leaning tower of breakfast sandwiches

Another episode of baconeggandcheese but homemade!! (because I can't keep paying those nyc prices y'all! ya girl is strapped for cash these days!!)

Anyways..

Prepare for boogie-ness!! ok? I warned you! Y'all can't come after me in the comments now, ight??

This BABE of a sammy is a balanced meal to leave you satisfied as hell! (This blog is not for the faint-hearted, sorry).

So we start off we some crispy toasted sourdough bread. Trader Joe's has very good and pretty cheap sourdough. Use whatever bread you want but don't try to change my mind. Now, pan-frying this instead of toasting this will make a world of difference!! Just heat some oil in a pan (med/low heat), and put your bread in there until it becomes super crunchy. It takes longer but it's worth it!!! If you don't have time for that, THAT'S YOUR BUSINESS. Once one side is toasted, flip it and add some cheese on top on so it gets all melty and ooey and cheesy and gooey and now I'm hungry!!

Pan fry some bacon!! I like to pan-fry so then I use the bacon oil to fry my eggs in it. Life-changing, I know.

Then we go in with our fried egg. Or poached if you feel a lil *extra* that day.

Then slice some tomatoes and pan fry those, charred tomatoes add an umami flavor that has me shedding tears.

Cannot forget the Sriracha aioli!! I made my own with sour cream, olive oil, lemon, garlic, salt/pepper, brown mustard, Sriracha, and a touch of red wine vinegar.

I also made my own basil oil. I blanched a big bundle of basil and then blended it with olive oil and double strained it. It makes me feel like a successful chef in a Michelin star restaurant even though I am just in my tiny kitchen. Sorry, mom & dad.

OK, drizzle that basil oil over your sammy, and sprinkle some salt and garlic powder because we are GARLIC GIRLS HERE. Smear some avocado, and BABY look how sexy that sammy is! Be proud of yourself, you made a piece of art. That will be consumed in less than 2 minutes, but a piece of art nonetheless!

xoxo
