I moved to this busy, smelly (not always in a bad way) city almost exactly a year ago. So you might be thinking that I am not a trustworthy source when it comes to the hidden go-to's of the highly revered nyc, and you're right! I'm probably not! But this girl loves to munch! I make it my mission to find the best snacks out there so in the end, I guess it's just your decision. But just don't be a fool, look at my picture!! How are you not drooling yet?!

I can't take credit for this find, even though my Leo sun & Leo rising attributes (i know) would love to take all the attention of finding this beautiful gem. My boyfriend did and he made friends with the owner and barista so now it's like going to visit old friends every time we go!

Nestled near the Grand St. station in Bushwick, you could very easily walk by this little goldmine. But don't! Get your head out of your phone Rachel and pay attention! They usually have a witty hand-drawn sign outside. Inside you'll be met by the kindest people wanting to get you that biscuit you deserve. So, it's not your classic nyc baconeggandcheese but baby, it GETS BETTER. Who knew? Get ready for this. This is a cheddar & chorizo biscuit with fried eggs, melted cheese, maple glazed Canadian bacon, and a homemade Sriracha aioli. yup. I know, you can leave this site now and just go, I get it! You can taste the love they put into this sammy. The saltiness of the chorizo with the crunch of the warm, buttery, biscuit and the cheese melting into the aioli. Ugh! Perfectly balancing with the sweetness of the bacon. I literally shed a tear when I ate this for the first time. Get this! They also have gluten-free biscuits which taste exactly the same as gluten ones which is total magic??? Gluten-free biscuits are hard to make people!! I probably already convinced you but since you're still here, I'll keep going.

Their coffee is also the best coffee I have had in nyc so far. I am less educated on the beauties of coffee but your girl worked at a coffee shop for years... I know a good cup of coffee, ok? It soft, balanced, and is perfectly rounded in flavor.

Ok, I could keep going but honestly, what are you still doing here?! Run! Don't walk!

Anyway, look at that photo!! Like c'mon!! If a baconeggandcheese could win a Nobel Peace Prize it would be this one. Who wouldn't want to solve world peace (and hunger) with this sammy???

xoxo

What interests me about introducing social learning through school projects is how a broad idea becomes part of an ordinary day. A shared project can give pupils a reason to explain their thinking to someone else. I would keep that thought nearby when looking for ideas about social learning projects. A short discussion of an everyday example would make this easier for me to connect with, especially as someone still learning about the subject. What helps students learn from one another instead of only dividing up the work?

When it comes to supporting teachers through shared learning resources, I would rather understand one useful detail properly than rush through a long list of ideas. A resource becomes more useful when it includes enough context for another teacher to adapt it. That is the kind of detail I would keep in mind while exploring teacher learning resources. I am more curious about the process than a polished result, because the steps in between are usually where questions appear. What information would you include when sharing an activity that worked in your classroom?

The subject of connecting school learning with Sonsk feels more interesting when there is room for a reader to stop and ask their own questions. A local project can turn familiar surroundings into a source of new questions. This is why I would approach Sonsk school community with a specific question rather than a fixed expectation. A short discussion of an everyday example would make this easier for me to connect with, especially as someone still learning about the subject. How could students share what they discover with people outside their class?

My first thought about discovering tea through taste and preparation is that the everyday experience deserves as much attention as the larger explanation. Changing one preparation detail at a time can make differences easier to notice. It also gives the phrase tea preparation basics a clearer meaning than a label on its own. The part I would like to explore further is what happens when the idea meets a real situation with its own limitations. What would you record when comparing two ways of preparing the same tea?

A conversation about exploring academic learning and research skills seems most useful to me when it leaves space for uncertainty and further questions. A precise question can make finding and comparing sources more manageable. I would use that point as a starting question when considering academic research skills. A short discussion of an everyday example would make this easier for me to connect with, especially as someone still learning about the subject. How would you narrow a broad interest into a question suitable for a small research project?
